Life

Bill affirms that life is a gift of the God of the Bible as did our Founding Fathers who understood and articulated that first principle clearly. Just as in the infamous Dred Scott decision in which the Court ruled a black man was not fully human, when the Supreme Court read into the Constitution the right for a woman to kill her unborn child, the Court was violating that principle. The Supreme Court is not the final, absolute authority, and Bill has been a guiding light in our community clearly demonstrating that the Supreme Court was, until recently, wrong.  The Court cannot vote and declare themselves to be God, the final arbiter of all Truth.

“Our Declaration of Independence and The Constitution of the United States are biblically-based documents that recognize The Creator gives and sustains not just the breath of life but gives value and worth to every human from conception. The life of an unborn child—even one conceived in tragic circumstances—is still precious.”

Election Integrity

The Secretary of State and even some Republican elected officials claim Colorado has the Gold Standard when it comes to our voting process. I say, “Let’s assay the gold to determine if it is 24k, 18k or fool’s gold.” Too many Republican voters are not participating in the election process because they think their votes do not count. Democrats either are hiding improprieties or simply discouraging Republican voters who throw up their hands in frustration. I call for a forensic audit for the purpose of assuring transparency.

 Liberty

A State Representative must speak on behalf of the people in his district in order to uphold their liberties guaranteed by God, by the law and by the Colorado Constitution.  Bill will stand and defend liberty for all, not liberty for some.

“If we do not have liberty for all, then we will have liberty for none. I will oppose unconstitutional legislation, will seek to expose government overreach and will fight against any threat to liberty.”

 2nd Amendment

Bill Jack is an ardent supporter of the 2nd Amendment and the right to keep and bear arms. He believes it is a right guaranteed to U.S. citizens for the protection of their lives, property, and liberty, and it is necessary in order to secure the 1st Amendment and other God-given, inalienable rights.

“The 2nd Amendment is vital for protecting every American’s security in his life and property. It is as important today as ever in our nation’s history, and I will fight against any attempt to infringe upon that right.”

Taxes

Bill Jack is an unwavering supporter of the Taxpayer Bill of Rights (TABOR) and will oppose all tax increases. He will fight to lower taxes for hardworking Coloradans and families who are not simply overtaxed but are struggling to subsidize a government which has nearly doubled in size over the last decade.

“Democrats continue to make Colorado less affordable for families and this year alone passed bills to take an additional $700 million a year from taxpayers in new taxes and fees. I will oppose any effort to steal more from hardworking taxpayers through tax and fee increases.”

Transportation

It’s absolutely absurd that Colorado taxpayers have witnessed the size of their state government nearly double in the past decade, and yet legislators at the Capitol refuse to dedicate even a single dollar of the state’s General Fund to fixing and building the roads and bridges we count on to move our families and the economy.

“My priority will be to prioritize transportation funding and fight to ensure roads and bridges get a fair share of the budget without raising fees or taxes.”

Education

Bill Jack is an educator with ten years of experience in public schools and fourteen years with The Caleb Campaign, a biblically-based youth ministry. He knows firsthand that parents - not the government - should have the final say as to the content and the delivery of their students’ education.

Bill believes that parents should be free to choose private or home school options if they would like without being penalized through taxation or state regulations and restrictions. As a teacher himself, he knows that unfortunately teachers today are often handcuffed by large bureaucracies and a prescribed social agenda that may not be compatible with either theirs or the parents’ beliefs and values. He will pursue better policies that will provide teachers with the opportunity to be creative, productive, and innovative with individual students while working in closer cooperation and contact with parents.

As a State Representative, he will fight for parents, teachers, students, and a better education system for all. He will not support legislation that simply props up an outdated system that is too unresponsive to student needs and parents’ wishes. He will investigate and support opportunities that will promote student learning and success.

“Liberty in school choice for parents and students is foundational to successful education, and students deserve the opportunity to excel and to explore their gifts and interests free from top-down bureaucratic mandates from the state.”
